Lately I've been going through my scrapbooks and figuring out what photos and/or stories are missing from them. It's helping me decide which stories I truly want to include in my albums and which photos I can purge or archive. In 2013 I want to put a big dent in my photo piles. Which brings me to the layout I created with this week's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. Here's the sketch created by Brenshevia:
I started by going through my oldest granddaughter's scrapbook and finding the first gap in the album that needed to be filled. I went through the photos I have left of her first few days after her birth and found these two precious photos of her and her grandpa, (my husband). They were definitely worthy of a scrapbook layout! Here's my take on the sketch:
Besides putting a dent in my photo piles, I want to be sure I'm using up all the scrapbook supplies that I have "accumulated". That's the nice way of describing the hoarding of scrappy goodness that is going on in my home! The patterned papers on my layout are from 3 Bugs In A Rug, (as well as the embellishments and border pieces), Bo Bunny, and Echo Park.
Other than "stretching" out the design of the sketch, I followed it quite closely. Please come and join us, and put a dent in your supplies and photo piles! You might be the next lucky winner of the wonderful monthly prize. Or your layout may be picked for the weekly featured artist or fave!
Happy scrapping!

That's the perfect story to include! Love this precious layout!
