January's challenge is "Tag, You're It". The challenge is to use tags on your project as well as making you the subject of that project. Here is what I created for the challenge:
I've had
these two photos of myself in my "to do" folder for quite some time
and hadn't gotten around to putting them on a layout. I just got this pretty
purple patterned paper from Echo Park, (The Winter Wishes Collection), and knew right away that it would work well
for these photos. I created tags from my patterned paper to hold the titles
saying "Happy Birthday" in the American and Hindu version. Since I do
not scrapbook about myself very often, this was a good challenge to get me to do so. And who doesn't love using tags on their layouts?
The background story of the layout is about a Mickey Mouse cake that a co-worker made for me on my birthday. She is East Indian and she made the cake without eggs. I'm not sure what she used in the batter, but it was quite good. She knew I'm a Disney freak, so bless her heart in going to all the trouble to create this awesome cake. My only regret is that I do not have photos of her.
Won't you please join in to this challenge and scrap your stash! You won't be sorry you did!
